The Friends School of Atlanta
The mission of the Friends School of Atlanta is to provide challenging academics in a diverse environment, drawing on the Quaker testimonies, or values, of simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality and stewardship to empower our students to go out into the world with conscience, conviction and compassion. We believe that education should address the range of human development—intellectual, social, physical and spiritual. We seek to meet each child at her or his developmental level and challenge that child to discover the full range of her or his abilities. Academic excellence is our ultimate goal. Our curricula are designed to teach fundamental concepts and skills, using materials and methods that begin simply and grow in intellectual complexity and challenges for the students as they mature in years. We want our students to appreciate that knowledge and understanding open countless possibilities for their future. The Friends School nurtures enthusiasm in the classroom and a love for learning that will last a lifetime.

Atlanta Friends Meeting
The Atlanta Friends Meeting practices unprogrammed silent worship, without paid clergy or prepared ministry of any kind. We wait together silently in faith that divine spirit may visit us at any time. If a leading comes, we speak the message into the silence. Thus, our Meeting for Worship may be an hour of worshipful silence or may contain several messages spoken out of the silence by Friends.
